Li Ming is a student ho has been living in Shanghai since he as born. But his grandfather lives in Tai an, because he t to Tai an before Shanghai as liberated. He is a merchant. For about half a century, Li Ming's family have no idea here he lives. They miss him very much. Fortunately, a letter from his grandfather reached them this October, hich said that his grandfather ould be back to Shanghai on December 24th. Li Ming's parents ere so excited about the ne s that they didn't sleep ell for sral nights. Neither did Li Ming.
The day finally came. On December 24th, the family of Li Ming ere on their ay to the airport. When they met at last, they gave grandfather a big hug, tears in their eyes. They got together. What a happy family! 李明是一名学生，从小就住在上海。但他的却在，因为他是商人，在解放前去了。50多年来，李明一家一直不知道他在哪里，他们非常想念他。幸运的是，今年10月份他们收到了李明的一封信，得知将在12月24日回上海。听到这个后，李明的父母非常激动，几天都没睡好觉。李明也是如此。这一天终于到了，12月24们一家去了机场。终于见面了，他们和紧紧拥抱在一起，眼里含着泪水。终于团聚了。多么幸福的一家人啊! 李明的祖父是位商人， 自从上海解放后一直住在。他们已经50年没有他的了。
今年十月，李明一家收到他祖父的采信。从信中得知，李明的祖父还活着，他将于12月24日回到上海。接到采信时，李明的父亲禁不住哭了。真是光阴似箭呀!李明的祖父已离开大陆半个世纪了。李明的父母激动得几天都没睡好，李明也是如此。
